Prague - Day 2, We started the day with watching the evening service from Bishopdale, only a few hours old, the wonders of modern technology! It was good to hear Dirk vG preaching whilst being on the other side of the world. Unbeknownst to us this day was also the day set aside for the Prague Marathon, so there were zillions of people in the city, and the public transport was in complete disarray so visiting the church we wished to go to was out of the question.
For the rest of the day we decided to wander through the Old Jewish quarter in Prague, Josefov, the former Jewish ghetto. Unfortunately this is now heavily commercialised so most things we wished to visit had hefty price tags, even the Holocaust memorial and old Jewish cemetery. But all the same it was interesting meandering through the streets looking at the amazing buildings and synagogues.
The buildings were pretty impressive, there was so much detail that went into embellishing the facades, every street was filled with these amazing buildings - it was so hard to choose what to photograph!
A view of the Old Jewish quarter from a park that we walked through on the way there.
A couple of the 6 Synagogues in the the Jewish quarter, these are still in use to this day, records of Jewish settlement date back to 965 AD
The magical sights of Prague: a city with stunning sights from pillars to cathedrals, from bridges to castles and palaces, it's all here.
Amazing facades

Some of the runners in the marathon, the city was packed with runners. The owner of this bike will be running home too, the front's all locked up but the back half has been nicked!!! 😨

Yes, the mandatory door, not as beautiful as many others but the 'paint work' is just a example of how much of this beautiful city has been defaced by graffiti, we have never seen so much yet in our travels.
