Korea Day - 1, On Thursday the 5th of April we left on our great adventure flying with Korean airlines, there was much eagerness and excitement about the journey ahead. The novelty of flying in a jet plane and eating airline food was still something that was eagerly anticipated.
The Airline food did not disappoint, thankfully westerners were well catered for, although some of us were brave enough to try the Korean dishes.
We stayed at the Golden Tulip Hotel, which was very appropriate as were were heading for the place where Tulips originated from, Turkey and the country that has become famous for its Tulips, Holland!!
The Hotel rooms were pretty swish, we were allocated 4 rooms. The toilets were amazing, they were electric with heated seats and "bottom cleaners" as referred to by the children. Much time was spent seated on these, whilst pondering the marvels of modern technology.

Breakfast in Seoul. Staying at the Golden Tulip Hotel, pretty swish :-)
Thanks to Korean Air
Reuben thought it was the most scrumptious dilliunchious breakfast ever.
Everything you could imagine was on offer, bacon, eggs, rice, kimchi, waffles with a myriad of toppings, steamed veges, sweet potatoes, soup x 3 varieties, 10 types of bread and croissants, heaps of fruit, cereals heaven, every juice you could think of.
After breakfast we had time to burn off some of the food consumed (only 8deg outside) Brrrrrrrrr.
The food theme continued with some rather interesting cushions we found in one on the shops.
Back at the Airport we were treated to a display of traditional Korean dance and culture.
The Seoul airport in its self was pretty amazing, an absolutely massive building.
